ORDER:In the reference 1″ read above, Government have constituted Mangalagiri Tadepalli Municipal Corporation by merging Mangalagiri Municipality, Tadepalli Municipality and 21 Grampanchayats with a population of 2,53.831 as per Census 2011.In the reference 2nd read above, Government have classified the rates of House Rent Allowance (HRA) based on the Census figures of 2011. The Cities and Towns having the population between 2.00 lakhs to 50.00 lakhs are eligible to draw HRA@ 16% of Basic Pay subject to a maximum of Rs. 17,000/-.The Employees Associations have requested the Government to sanction HRA @16% to all State Government Employees working in Mangalagiri Tadepalli Municipal Corporation (MTMC) area, as per orders issued vide reference 2′ cited, as the population of the Mangalagiri, Tadepalli Municipal Corporation area is 2,53,831 and therefore eligible for HRA @ 16% HRA i.e., population criteria of 2 lakhs to 50 lakhs.Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby order to enhance the House Rent Allowance (HRA) from the existing 12% to 16% in respect of all State Government Employees working in Mangalagiri – Tadepalli Municipal Corporation (MTMC) area subject to a maximum of Rs.17,000/- per month.These orders shall be applicable with effect from 01.11.2023.All other terms & conditions relating to House Rent Allowance (HRA) mentioned in the reference 2′ read above shall remain applicable.Necessary amendments to the AP Public Employment (House Rent Allowance) Rules, 1988 shall be issued separately.Download G.O.Ms.No.118 Dated: 31/10/2023.
