AP SSC CERTIFICATES ISSUED THROUGH DIGILOCKER: It is hereby informed that, under the Digital India Programme of the
Government of India, a flagship initiative known as “Digilocker” was launched
by the Ministry of Electronics & IT, GOI, in the year 2015 for “Digital
Empowerment” of the citizens by providing access to authentic digital
documents to citizen’s digital document wallet.
As part of the Digitization of Secondary School Certificates (SSC), the
Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh, has registered itself as an
“Issuer” in the Digilocker Portal and has published the Digitally signed SSC
Certificates in the Digilocker portal, initially for the Regular, Private and ASE
Stream from the years 2004-2007 and 2012-2023, which can be accessed by
the passed students from their personal Digilocker accounts.

As part of the Digitization of Secondary School Certificates (SSC), the
Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh, has registered itself as an
“Issuer” in the Digilocker Portal and has published the Digitally signed SSC
Certificates in the Digilocker portal, initially for the Regular, Private and ASE
Stream from the years 2004-2007 and 2012-2023, which can be accessed by
the passed students from their personal Digilocker accounts.
All the
Certificates from the years 2004-2023 will be made available in Digilocker
shortly.
The Digitally Signed SSC Issued in the Digilocker Portal is deemed to be
at par with the original physical SSC as per Rule 9A of the Information
Technology (Preservation and Retention of information by Intermediaries
providing Digilocker facilities) Rules, 2016 notified on 8th February 2017 vide
G.S.R711(E).
All the students who have passed the SSC Public Examinations from the
year 2004 could be able to avail of this facility through the Official Website of
Digilocker viz. https://www.digilocker.gov.in. or through the Official Digilocker
Android Application which is available in the Google Play Store. The following
prerequisites are necessary from the candidate’s side i.e., from the candidate to
access his/her Digilocker SSC Certificate:
a. He/She shall “Sign Up” and create a personal Digilocker account
on the website or Android App by entering the required details.
b. Upon signing up, the Candidate shall “Sign In” using his/her own
login credentials, as per the Phone Number/ Aadhaar and Security
PIN provided at the time of Signing Up, and enter the OTP received
on your phone number.
C. The candidate may search for the Andhra Pradesh state or Board
of Secondary Education, A.P. using the Search Option or select
“Class-X Marksheet” and see the list of Issuing Boards, and then
Select “Board of Secondary Education, Andhra Pradesh”.
D. Upon selecting the Board, the Name of the Candidate shall be
automatically fetched as per the Aadhaar Data. The candidate may
enter the Roll Number and select the steam and year from the
dropdown fields to fetch the Digitally verified certificate to the
“Issued Documents” page of his/her Digilocker account.
E. Upon entering all the details, the Digilocker SSC Certificate will be
available in the “Issued Documents” option and the candidate has
the option to download the same. The Specimen Digilocker
Certificate is shown below:
F. The candidate can fetch the document only if his/her name in the
SSC matches the name in his/her Aadhaar.
G. Once the SSC is fetched to his/her Digilocker account, he/she may
use the same for all purposes as the Digilocker-issued Digital
document is legally valid as per IT Act, 2000 when used
electronically.
As the SSC Certificates are being published in a phased manner, the
candidates are requested to check the Digilocker portal periodically or contact
the O/o DGE, A.P., on “dir_govexams@yahoo.com” to know about the status of
publishing or in case of any discrepancy or clarification.
The real-time verification feature of Digilocker provides a verification
module enabling Government agencies to verify data directly from issuers after
obtaining user consent. Thus Colleges, Higher Educational Institutions,
Universities, Government Recruiting Organisations, Defence Recruiting
Organisations or Private Employers and such others are encouraged to utilize
the Online Verification of the Digitally Signed “Secondary School Certificate”
issued through the Digilocker Portal instead of manual verification to minimize
the time involved in verification and to reduce the delays, administrative
overhead and postal costs. The QR Scanner option available in the Digilocker
App can be used to scan the QR Code on the Digilocker SSC and thus the
Credentials of the candidate can be verified instantly in a cost-effective way.
Digilocker is a secure and user-friendly platform that empowers students
to access and share their academic certificates and documents with ease. Thus
the Students who have passed SSC Examinations after 2004 are also
encouraged to utilize this facility and embrace the advantages of using these
digitally signed Digilocker certificates over traditional physical certificates. The
Digilocker certificate is securely encrypted, tamper-proof, and government-
authorized. It carries the weight of official recognition, ensuring that your
credentials are protected from fraud and misrepresentation.
The use of digitally signed certificates aligns with the Government of
India’s vision for a Digital India. All the concerned are requested to embrace the
convenience, accessibility, and innovation offered by the digitally signed
