4% HORIZONTAL RESERVATION FOR THE PERSONS WITH BENCHMARK DISABILITIES IN AP GOVERNMENT JOBS
IMPLEMENTATION OF 4% HORIZONTAL RESERVATION FOR THE PERSONS WITH BENCHMARK DISABILITIES
It is here by informed that the Government of Andhra Pradesh through its orders in G.O. Ms. No. 77, G.A (Ser-D) Department, Dt: 02/08/2023, decided to provide four percent (4%) Horizontal reservation in appointment and promotions in every Government establishment in favour of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities of which one percent (1%) each shall be reserved for persons as detailed below from the panel year 2023-24.
Persons with Benchmark Disabilities means a person is said to be,
- Blindness and Low vision.
- Deaf and Hard of hearing.
- Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy.
- Autism, Intellectual disability, Specific learning disability, Mental illness.
- Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under clauses (a) to (d) including deaf–blindness in the posts identified for each disabilities.
The Commission accordingly is initiating all necessary steps for implementation of four percent (4%) Horizontal reservation to the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities for the posts earmarked to them in various Services through upcoming notifications.
In this regard, all the aspirants for appointment of various Services under Persons with Benchmark Disabilities quota and those who are already registered their bio-data particulars with the Commission in One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) shall update their status of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities.
The desirous and eligible candidates of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities shall login the Commission’s web site viz., https://psc.ap.gov.in, with his / her registered OTPR number and update the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities particulars, before applying for the posts.
