For the PM YASASVI scholarships in 2023, the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment has chosen an alternative method of distribution. The PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for Vibrant India (PM-YASASVI) 2023 would be awarded exclusively on the basis of merit, without the use of an entrance exam.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) decided not to hold the previously scheduled merit test in light of the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment’s decision.
Given the lack of time, the department made the choice while considering the convenience of the pupils. According to the rules of the selection process, a merit list will be made based on the candidate’s scores in classes VIII and X.
PM YASASVI 2023 ENTRANCE TEST CANCELLED PUBLIC NOTICE
National Testing Agency (NTA) has scheduled to conduct an entrance
test on 29.9.2023 for selection of candidates to award the scholarships
under the scheme of PM YASASVI- Top Class Education in Schools for
OBC, EBC and DNT students.
Keeping in view the paucity of time for the test, the Department has re-
considered the matter. It has been decided that instead of the Entrance
Test (which will entail extra burden on the applicants), the selection for
this year will now be done on the basis of the merit to be prepared
considering the marks obtained in the class VIII & X, as applicable, as
per scheme guidelines. The students will be selected through NSP
Portal. All students who obtained 60% or above marks in 8th or 10th
class are eligible to apply on NSP portal.
