CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened applications for the Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girls.
The board also launched an update portal for the program for students admitted to the program in 2022. The last date for registration is October 10 and can be done on the official website — cbse.gov.in.
To be eligible for this, the candidate should be the only child in the family. They should have passed 60% exams from Class 10th in a CBSE affiliated school and should also be currently studying in Class 11th in the same school.
CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 Details
The’ CBSE’ ‘ Provide the Single Girl Child Scholarship to the Single Girl Child students of CBSE affiliated school and passed class X from the School affiliated with CBSE’ with 60°/o marks in first five subjects. The scheme was started by the CBSE from the year 2006.
Online applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 and Single Girl Child Scholarship 2022 (Renewal 2023). Candidate can apply directly through the Scholarship portal available on CBSE website–https://cbse.gov.in -> Scholarship.
Schools are requested to go through the guidelines. of Single Girl Child Scholarship X-2023, available on CBSE website, and process the online application’ ‘ submitted by their students.
CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 Eligibility Criteria: –
1.The Single Girl Child passed class X from the School affiliated with CBSE and pursuing her education at class Xl and XlI in CBSE affiliated schools.
2.The girl students who are the only child of their parents and who have scored 60°/o or more marks (in first five subjects) in class X are eligible for the award of scholarship.
3.Monthly tuition fee should not exceed Rs.1,500/- pm in Class X and 10°/o enhancement for Class Xl & XlI.
4.The Scholarship awarded shall be renewed for a period of one year i.e. successful completion of class Xl and student have scored 50°/o or more marks in Class Xl and promoted to class Xll.
5.The scholarship shall be awarded to Indian Nationals only.
6.NRI applicants of the Board are also eligible for the award. The tuition fee for the NRls has been decided maximum of Rs.6,000/- per month.
7.A Scholar, under the scheme, while availing scholarship can also enjoy other concession(s) given by the school in which she is studying.
The candidates may apply online for the single Girl Child Scholarship and the schools will be required to verify the application forms of the students of their school. The Central Board of Secondary Education. (CBSE) has Scholarship portal wherein the schools may login and verify the applications.

Step 1: Visit cbse.nic.in website.
Step 2: Click on “Single Girls Scholarship X-2023 REG”
Step 3: Then, click on the designated scholarship application link.
Step 4: On the new tab, select the application type – New or Renewal.
Step 5: Now click on SGC-X New Application or Renewal
Step 6: Fill out the application form and upload documents.
Step 7: Submit Single Girls Scholarship Application and download the form for future reference,
Under the single girl scholarship scheme, students will get Rs 500 per month. The monthly tuition fee shall not exceed Rs 1,500 for Class 10 and 10% for Class 11 and 12.
