NOTIFICATIONS BY GOVERNMENT

GOVERNMENT OF ANDHRA PRADESH ABSTRACT

BACKWARD CLASSES WELFARE DEPARTMENT – Removing the words “Shudra Caste” duly retaining the words “Non-Brahmins” added after “Tammali”, Caste listed at SI.No.29 of Group-D in the State list of Backward Classes of Andhra Pradesh for the purpose of Article 15 (4) and 16 (4) of the Constitution of India- Orders-Issued.

2. Letter received from the General Secretary, Kadapa District Tammali Welfare Service Society, Andhra Pradesh, received through CS Office vide CSP No. 13011 / CSP/ 2020 , dated 03.11.2020.

3. From the Member Secretary A.P. State Commission for BCs, Vijayawada, Letter Rc.No. APSCBC/C/62/2021, dated :06.08.2021.

ORDER:

In the G.O. 1′ read above, the Government have approved the list of Backward Classes (other than Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes) and declared that the castes and communities specified in Annexure-1 to the said order are Socially and Educationally Backward Classes for the purpose o: Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of India. In the said Backward Classes list, the “Tammali” caste is listed at SI.No.29 of Group-D.

1. In the reference 2nd read above, the Government have issued orders duly adding the words, “Shudra caste” and “Non-Brahmins” after “Tammali” a’: SI.No.29 of Group-D in the State list of Backward Classes of Andhra P–adesh.

2. In the reference 3rd read above, the General Secretary, Kadapa District Tammali Welfare Services Society, Andhra Pradesh have requested the Government to remove the words ” Shudra Caste” added after “—ammali”, Caste listed at SI.No. 29 of Group-D in the State list of Backward Classes of Andhra Pradesh.

4 In the reference 4th read above, the Member Secretary, A.P. State

Commission for Backward Classes, Vijayawada has recommended the Government to remove the words “Shudra Caste” duly retaining the words ” Non- Brahmins” added after ” Tammali”, Caste l isted at SI. No. 29 co’ Group-D in the State list of Backward Classes of Andhra Pradesh.

5 Government, after careful examination of the matter, and the report

0. the Member Secretary, A.P. State Commission for Backward Classes, V jayawada in the ref. 4th read above, hereby accepts the recommendation o’ the A.P. State Commission for Backward Classes, Vijayawada i.e., to remove the words “Shudra Caste– duly retaining the words “Non-Brahmins” added after ” Ta mma l i”, Caste l isted a t SI . No . 2 9 of Group – D i n the State list of Backward Classes of Andhra Pradesh for the purpose 01 Article 15(4) and 16(4) of the Constitution of India.

6. The Director, B.C. Welfare, A.P., Vijayawada and all the District Collectors in the State of AP shall take necessary action in the matter accordingly and give suitable instructions to the concerned authorities to follow the above said guidelines scrupulously at the time of issuance of the caste certificates.
