Acquiring of minimum qualification by the teachers as per Section 23(1) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act,2009 and information on the number of untrained teachers in Government Schools and Private Schools – certain information

Sub:- School Education Department – RTE Act,2009 – Acquiring of minimum qualification by the teachers as per Section 23(1) of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act,2009 and information on the number of untrained teachers in Government Schools and Private Schools – certain information called for – Regarding.

Read: Mail Dated:27.07.2022 received from Government of India, Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy.

 

 The attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State is informed that the Government of India, Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy have informed that Section 23 (2) of RTE Act, 2009 provides for the deadline of 31st March, 2019 for acquiring minimum qualifications for a teacher, who, does not possess minimum qualifications as laid down under Section 23 (1) of RTE Act, 2009.

Further, Informed that in order to formulate strategy to train all in-service untrained teachers in Government Schools and in Private Schools, data on the number of untrained teachers is required to them and requested to provide the relevant details for this state in the format attached.

 

In view of the above, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are requested to provide the above said information in proforma annexed immediately.
