Technological Museum about Southern India Science Drama Festival

All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and the District
Educational Officers in the state are informed that, Smt.K.A Sadhana,
Director of Visvesvaraya INDUSTRIAL AND TECHNOLOGICAL MUSEUM
(National Council of Science Museums Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India)
has informed that this year Southern India Science Drama Festival will be
organized at Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum,
Bangalore on 23rd& 24th of November, 2023. The main theme for National
Science Drama Festival is “Science & Technology for the Benefit of
Mankind.” The Sub-themes are as follows:
a. Millets-The Super Food
b. Food Security
c. Modem Technology in Daily Life
d. Current Advances in Health Care
e. Superstitions in Society
Further, they are informed that the State Level Science Drama
Contest of the state will be organised by the State Education Department
before the end of October, 2023, after completion of block level, district
level competitions etc. The basic information, rules & regulations and brief
guidelines for the preparation/presentation for the conduct of State Level
Science Drama Contest are enclosed with this letter for reference. The
date & venue of the State Level Science Drama Contest will be intimated
to Visvesvarayya Industrial and Technological Museum (VITM) well in
advance to enable to send their representatives to attend the programme.
In this regard, the First and Second Prize winners of State Level
Science Drama Contest will participate in Southern India Science Drama
Festival 2023 (SISDF-2023). Similarly, First and Second Prize winners of
SISDF will participate in the National Level Science Drama Festival (NSDF
2023-24) to be organised by National Council of Science Museums at
Nehru Science Centre, Mumbai in January 2024. The specifc date of the
NSDF (2023-24) will be communicated in due course on completion of the
State Level Science Drama Contest. Tentative schedule is given below.
Hence, all the District Educational Ofcers are requested to conduct
the event in time as per the guidelines given in Annexure, send top one
team from each district send to participate in state level drama
competition and exchange necessary information with State Nodal Ofcer
Dr. G.R. Bhagyasree, HoD, Dept. of Mathematics & Science, SCERT on:
73966 02602. They’re also requested to instruct the participating winners
of District Level in State Level Drama Festival to carry their own cosmetics,
accessories, etc.
