FIRST SPACE LABORATORY FOR GOVERNMENT SCHOOL STUDENTS
J&k: The central region of Jammu and Kashmir inaugurated its first space laboratory, which is specifically designed for government school students.
The Space Lab, developed under the ISRO Space Tutor Program by the Vyomika Space Academy, was funded by the Directorate of Education Jammu. The laboratory is equipped with high-tech telescopes, ISRO rockets and satellite display models, drones and aircraft. “ This will enable students to explore the wonders of the universe and notable space missions from ISRO, ” spokesperson said.
State level workshop
The spokesperson said that students from sixth to twelfth grade will have the opportunity to get skill development training sessions from these state-of-the-art laboratories, A state-level inter-school hydro rocket and astronomy workshop will be hosted on October 15 to commemorate the date of birth of former President APJ Abdul Kalam by adding the Vyomika Space Academy. The spokesperson said that students from various schools are encouraged to participate.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Deputy Commissioner Kishanwar, Devnash Yadav, Chief Education Officer Prahlad Bhagat and School Principal Sandeep Rathore in Kishtavar, Government Higher Secondary School boys.
Yadav encouraged students to make the best use of the space laboratory, stressing that it would not only promote a deeper understanding of space, Would rather inspire students to consider a career in space science. “ This initiative is expected to ignite interest in astronomy-related activities at the school level, potentially guiding students for careers in this fascinating field, ” He said.
