Ashram schools, etc. during summer vacation — Instructions –

All the RJDSEs, DEOs are hereby informed that it is planned to
conduct reading program during summer vacation for the children from the
classes 37 to 10™in all types of schools under government management i.e.,
ZP Schools, Municipal, All types of residential schools, Model schools,
KGBVs, Ashram schools, etc.
Reading is an important skill which makes children confident and
enable them for self-learning. It engages children with books and in deep
reading and enjoy the books. Reading books keeps away children from social
media and TV. Reading library books promote fluency in reading and
reading comprehension. It improves the children imagination, thought and
expression and other cognitive abilities. Ultimately a culture of reading will
be developed to the younger generations and it continues as a lifelong habit.
Reading Comprehension helps the children to comprehend the concepts
discussed in the textbooks on their own with little support from the
teachers. It’reduces the teachers burden in making them to participate in
the classroom teaching learning process. Therefore, all efforts must be
focused to make books avallable to the children and make them to read and
conduct post reading activities as’an important strategy to improve leammg
in a sustainable way.
In this regard the headmasters and teachers of all types of schools
shall be informed to take out all library books from almirahs and classify
class wise and books to be issued to all children from classes 3t to 10t
(children now entering from 9t to 10%) so as to make them read during
summer vacation and speak about the books to the family members and
friends and write book reviews.
Further it is informed that the officials of the district and mandal
public libraries are issuing books to the school children in the schools
nearby the libraries. In this regard the headmasters are informed to keep
one teacher as incharge to receive the books from public libraries and issue
books in turn to the children and collect when schools reopen and return to
the public libraries. The DEOs has to talk with Secretary Zilla Grandhalaya
Samstha of their district for the necessary arrangements to issue the books
to the schools. This develops a culture of reading among young children and
improves the public utility of public libraries too in future.
The detail guidelines to the schools on the utilisation of library books
during summer vacation is enclosed. The guidelines are pertaining to issue
of library books to the children before schools closed for summer vacation
and on how to exchange the books among the children living in the same
villages and wards and conduct of post reading activities, etc.
The MEOs of 1 & 2 has to monitor the program in their mandals and
see that all the schools issue the books to the children and also monitor how
effectively the children are reading the books, sharing with friends and
family. members and how effectively the summer reading program is being
conducted.
The headmasters, teachers, MEOs and DEOs also has to read the
books pertaining to education, pedagogy (classroom teaching learning
process), curriculum, assessment, education philosophy and books written
by great philosophers and educationists from east and west and write
reviews and upload it into the Samagra Shiksha website.
All the RIDSEs, DEOs are instructed to issue the guidelines to all the
field functionaries on the summer reading program (enclosed) and monitor
that the children from classes 3t to 10t read the books during summer
vacation and as well as to conduct post reading activities when the schools
reopen after summer vacation.

సమ్మర్ రీడింగ్ ప్రోగ్రాంవేసవి పఠన కార్యక్రమం – 2024
పుస్తకం మంచి మిత్రుని లాంటిది అంటారు. పుస్తకాలు చదివే అలవాటు వ్యక్తిని ఉన్నత స్థాయిలో నిలుపుతుంది. పుస్తకాలు చదివే అలవాటు బాల్యం లోనే వేళ్ళూనుకోవాలి. ఇది పిల్లలలో జీవితాంతం చదివే అలవాటును పెంపొందిస్తుంది. అందువల్ల పిల్లలు తమ క్లాసు పుస్తకాలతో బాటు ఇతర పుస్తకాలు కుడా చదవడాన్ని ఒక అలవాటుగా మార్చుకోవాలి. ఇందుకోసం పాఠశాల గ్రంథాలయం ఎంతగానో ఉపయోగ పడుతుంది. పిల్లలు పాఠశాల గ్రంధాలయానికి ప్రతి రోజు వెళ్ళే విధంగా ఉపాధ్యాయులు తమ కాల నిర్ణయ పట్టికలో చోటు కల్పించాలి. పిల్లలు పుస్తకాలు చదివే అలవాటును పెంపొందించుకోవడానికి , తమ అలవాటును కొనసాగించుకోడానికి వీలుగా “పాఠశాల విద్య – సమగ్ర శిక్ష” వేసవి సెలవులలో విరామ కాలాన్ని సద్వినియోగం చేసుకునేలా 3 నుండి 10 తరగతుల పిల్లల కోసం ‘ వేసవి పఠన కార్యక్రమం ‘ అనే ఒక వినూత్న కార్యక్రమానికి శ్రీకారం చుట్టింది.
కార్యక్రమ లక్ష్యాలు :
పాఠశాల లైబ్రరీ లో ఉన్న పుస్తకాలను బయటకి తీసి తరగతి వారీగా పిల్లలకు వేసవి సెలవుల కంటే ముందే ఇవ్వాలి.
పిల్లలు ఇచ్చిన పుస్తకాలను వేసవి సెలవులలో చదివి వాటి పై మాట్లాడటం గాని, రాయటం గాని చేయాలి. ప్రతి విద్యార్థి దగ్గర కనీసం ఒక పుస్తకం ఉండాలి. పాఠశాలలో ఉన్న పుస్తకాల సంఖ్యను బట్టి ప్రతి విద్యార్థికి రెండు లేక మూడు పుస్తకాలను ఇవ్వవచ్చు.
3 నుండి 9 తరగతుల పిల్లల్లో చదివే అలవాటును పెంపొందించడం ద్వారా వేసవి సెలవులను సద్వినియోగపరచుకోవడం.
ఈ కార్యక్రమం ద్వారా పిల్లలకు లైబ్రరి పుస్తకాలను అందుబాటులో ఉంచడం ద్వారా పాఠశాల గ్రంధాలయాలను సమర్ధవంతంగా వినియోగించుకోవడం జరుగుతుంది.
పిల్లల కోసం పాఠశాల గ్రంధాలయాలు ప్రజా గ్రంధాలయాలు తమ వనరులను ఇచ్చిపుచ్చుకోవడం, కలసి పని చేయడం
పఠనానంతర కృత్యాల ద్వారా పిల్లల్లో ఆహ్లాదాన్ని , సృజనాత్మకతను పెంపొందించడం.

పాఠశాల గ్రంథాలయంలోని పుస్తకాలను, స్థానిక ప్రజా గ్రంథాలయం నుండి తీసుకున్న పుస్తకాలను మరియు గ్రామంలోని దాతల నుండి సేకరించిన పుస్తకాలను అన్నింటినీ కలుపుకొని వాటిని తరగతి వారీగా విభజించాలి. ప్రతి తరగతిలోని విద్యార్థులను జట్లుగా విభజించాలి. జట్టు లో 6 నుండి 10 విద్యార్థుల వరకు ఉండవచ్చు. జట్టులో ఉన్న విద్యార్థుల గృహాలు సమీపంలో ఉండేటట్లు చూసుకోవాలి తద్వారా పిల్లలు పుస్తకాలను మార్చుకుంటారు.
ప్రతి జట్టుకు ఒక విద్యార్థిని నాయకునిగా నియమించాలి.
ప్రతి తరగతికి ఒక విద్యార్థిని లీడర్ గా నియమించాలి. అతనే పిల్లలకు పుస్తకాలు ఇచ్చి రిజిస్టర్ లో నమోదు చేసి మరియు వేసవి సెలవుల అనంతరం తీసుకుంటాడు. ఈ విధంగా గ్రంథాలయ పుస్తకాలను ఇవ్వడము మరియు తీసుకోవడము, తరగతి వారీగా లైబ్రరి రిజిస్టర్ ను నిర్వహించటాము ఆ క్లాస్ లీడర్ బాధ్యత. ఉపాధ్యాయులు ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని మానిటర్ చేయాలి / గ్రూప్ లీడర్ లకు ఫోన్ చేసి కార్యక్రమ వివరాలను తెలుసుకోవాలి.
ప్రతి విద్యార్థికి తప్పని సరిగా ఒక పుస్తకం అందేలా చూడాలి. పాఠశాలలో అందుబాటులో ఉన్న పుస్తకాల సంఖ్యను బట్టి పిల్లలకు రెండు కాని అంతకంటే ఎక్కువ కానీ పుస్తకాలను ఇవ్వవచ్చు.
తరగతి నాయకుడు గ్రంథాలయ పుస్తకాల పంపిణీకి బాధ్యత వహించాలి ఇచ్చి పుచ్చుకునే రిజిస్టర్నునిర్వహించాలి.
పఠనానంతర కార్యక్రమాలు– తీసుకున్న పుస్తకాన్ని పిల్లలు చదవాలి, చదివిన పుస్తకం పై స్నేహితులు లేదా కుటుంబ సభ్యులకు చదివి వినిపించాలి, మాట్లాడాలి, చదివన పుస్తకం పై బొమ్మ గీసి సమీక్ష రాయాలి. పుస్తకం చదివిన తరువాత తన గ్రూపులోని సభ్యులలో వేరొకరితో పుస్తకాలను మార్చుకోవాలి.
వేసవి సెలవుల ఆనంతరము విద్యార్థులు తాము చదివిన పుస్తకాలపై తరగతి గది లో మాట్లాడాలి మరియు రాసిన సమీక్షను చదివి వినిపించాలి. సమీక్షాలను పాఠశాలలో ప్రదర్శన చేయాలి. తీసుకున్న పుస్తకాలను తరగతి లీడర్ కు అప్పగించాలి రిజిస్టర్ లో నమోదు చేయాలి.
ప్రధానోపాధ్యాయుడు పిల్లల పఠన కార్యక్రమం కోసం సహకరించే సంస్థల ప్రతినిధులు అనగా Room to Read, Pratham, Public libraries, మరో గ్రంథాలయ ఉద్యమం వారితో మాట్లాడి వారి నుండి పిల్లలకు పుస్తకం చదివేలా తగు సూచనలు సలహాలు తీసుకొని చదవేటట్లు చేయాలి, పుస్తకాలను పిల్లలకు పరిచయం చేయాలి. పుస్తకాలను కూడ ఇవ్వవచ్చు. పుస్తక పఠన సంస్కృతిని పెంచే కార్యక్రమాలను నిర్వహింపచేయాలి.
తరగతిఉపాధ్యాయుడుగ్రంథాలయపుస్తకాలనుచదివేవిధానం, జట్టులోపుస్తకాలనుమార్చుకునేవిధానం, పుస్తకంచదివినతర్వాతచేయవలసినపఠనానంతరకార్యక్రమాలుపుస్తకానికిసమీక్షరాయడం,బొమ్మగీయడం,మొదలైనవాటిగురించివిద్యార్థులకుతెలియజేయాలి.

It is to inform that government of Andhra Pradesh departmental school education samgra Shiksha has introducing a special reading campaign in all school during summer vacation. The program is titled as summer reading campaign. This program will be implemented in all primary upper primary High schools, KGBVs, AP model schools, AP residential school and all welfare society schools in the state. The books available in the school libraries will be distributed to all students from class 3 to 10th and instruct them to read those books during summer vacation.
There are public libraries in some villages in the state. Those libraries having rich resource of children literature. If the public libraries make it available to the students during summer vacation the program the summer reading program may be implemented in an effective manner. The rich treasure of library books with public libraries is very much required to all school students to engage summer vacation.
In this regard the director public libraries is requested to issue instructions to the district public library units and also instruct village level public libraries for distribution of library books to the schools where the public libraries are located. Headmaster the school is held responsible for receiving and returning of the library books. And also instruct all the librarians who are working in public libraries to invite students for the programs conducted at public library during summer vacation.
