ORDER:
In the G.O. 1st read above, Guidelines were issued for conducting Andhra Pradesh State Teachers Eligibility Test (AP TET) under the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act (RTE), 2009.
The Commissioner of School Education, in his letter 6th read above, has stated that the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India has quashed the NCTE Notification, dated:28.06.2018, in which the B.Ed candidates were also made eligible for Secondary Grade Teacher posts i.e., for teaching for Classes I to V, and he has therefore, requested the Government to issue necessary amendments to the G.O. 1st read above read with G.O 4th read above.
In the circumstances stated by the Commissioner of School Education, in his letter 6th read above, Government, after careful examination of the matter, hereby make the following amendments to the Guidelines for conducting Andhra Pradesh State Teachers Eligibility Test (AP TET) issued in the G.O. 1st read above, and as subsequently amended:-
AMENDMENTS
In the said G.O,
A. For para 3(1) (a), the following shall be substituted, namely,-
“(a) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR AP-TET PAPER -I (CLASSES 1 TO V) (REGULAR SCHOOLS):”
- i) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) (or)
- ii) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name know) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure), Regulations, 2002 (or)
- iii) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) (or)
- iv) Intermediate / Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education) (or)
- v) Graduation and two year diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Note 1:- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks allowed to the SC/ST/BC/PH candidates.”
B. For para 3 (X), the following shall be substituted, namely:-
“X. NO ADDITIONAL FINANCIAL COMMITMENT TO GOVERNMENT
There shall be no additional financial commitment to Government on account of conduct of TET. Salaries for TET Cell staff, maintenance of TET Cell, conveyance, processing of results, honorarium to the staff who are involved in the process of conduct of APTET Examination, office expenditure, legal expenditure and other miscellaneous expenditure shall be met from TET funds only”.
The Commissioner of School Education, shall take further necessary action accordingly, in the matter.
