Ref: linstructions received from National skill development Corporation, New
Delhi.
All the Regional Joint Dircctors of School Education & District
Educational officers in the State are informed that the National Skill
Development Corporation and the Central Board of Secondary Education
Collaborated to organize 1% Indian Skills Junior Competition (ISJC) in the year
- The main mission of the Junior Skills Competition is to provide school
children an opportunity to explore and make informed of the carcer choices in
a rapidly changing world and contribute to the economic growth of the India
through their skills.
Objectives of ISJC (Indian_ Skills Junior Competition)are outlined as
under:
Exposure of children for making informed decisions about their carcer
. Assimilate international standards and assessment norms.
. Capacity building of teachers as per World Skills Standards.
Create role models to bridge the skills aspiration in the country.
. A step towards future ready skilled manpower.
Create a pipeline for World Skills Competitions
The Competition was conducted in online format in 10 Skills (Web
Technologies, IT Software Solutions for Business, Graphic Design Technology,
Visual Merchandising, Painting & Decorating, Mobile Robotics, Fashion
Technology, Solar Energy, Digital Photography and Innovative Business Ideas)
The Competition was conducted with the active support and involvernent
of Corporate, Academic lnstitutions, Schools, Sector Skill Councils, Subject
Matter Experts & other Stakeholders, Registrations for Junior Skills
Competition was categorized in 10 skills and 3 groups. The three groups were
categorized as below:
Group -Standard
Group 1- 6th to 8th
Group 2-9th to 10th
Group 3- 11th to 12th
It is noted that the registration would be open to all the eligible students
across all education boards including CBSE to have a Pan India outrcach
The competition will comprise 4 rounds. The first 3 rounds will be
conducted online, whereas round 4 (National/Finale) will be conducted in an
offline mode. The Orientation/Technical webinars would be conducted after
each round. Top 8 – 10 candidates/kill will be selected to participate in level 4
(National/Finale) competitions

The Competition Committee for India Skills Juniors would be responsible to oversee operational aspects, directions and guidance on may be required from time to time. Given below in the proposed list of Competition Committee members:
Senior Officials from CBSE/ICSE/State Boards Head-World Skills Indin, NSDC
1-2 representatives from Academia/Industry
Principal from a reputed school- to be nominated by MOE/CBSE/ICSE/State Boards.
The Rewards and Recognition of the Competition:
Top 3 winners of each category in each skill would be suitably reward Certificate of participation for all competitors
Recognition to sponsors, partners and experts
Career Counseling sessions for students
The Tentative Timelines
All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education & District Educational officers in the State are directed to give instruction to all the Schools under all the managements in the state to ensure that maximum number of students got registered in the competition and also requested to give proper guidance to the teachers to help the students participate in the competition.
