AP SCERT DIGITAL LESSON PLANS AND NEW TEACHERS RESOURCE BOOKS 2023-24: The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Educational Research and Training (AP SCERT) has launched digital lesson plans and new teachers resource books for the academic year 2023-24. These are designed to help teachers plan and deliver effective and engaging lessons using digital Lesson plans and resources. The digital lesson plans are aligned with the new curriculum and assessment framework, and cover all subjects from classes I to X. The new teachers resource books provide guidance on pedagogical strategies, classroom management, assessment techniques, and professional development. The AP SCERT aims to enhance the quality of education and learning outcomes in the state by providing these innovative and useful resources to the teachers. MESSAGE BY THE COMMISSIONER ON AP SCERT DIGITAL LESSON PLANS AND NEW TEACHERS RESOURCE BOOKS 2023-24
In any education system the prime focus should be achievement of learning
outcomes. This can be attained with a combination of improving and providing world
class infrastructure, supporting materials and continuous professional development
of the various educators and officials in the system and ensuring that decision
makers are leveraging technology and data to make sound decisions to guide the
system forward. In Andhra Pradesh, under the guidance of Honorable Chief
Minister, landmark reforms have been initiated to improve the quality of
infrastructure under the Mana Badi Nadu Nedu scheme where a majority of the
schools have been renovated to provide an excellent learning environment. Students
have been provided with tablets, Interactive Flat Panels, Smart TVs with android
boxes to enrich their learning experience and ensure they are able to learn on par
with any of the best schools in the country.
Secondly, data has been incorporated into all aspects of the decision making process
with the ‘Vidya Samiksha Kendra’ and Command and Control Center and various
other apps which ensures close monitoring and data sources which help the
leadership take decisions to improve the overall efficiency of the system.
Further, Supporting Andhra’s Learning Transformation is a key project undertaken
by the government which is also putting enormous focus on the third pillar, that of
quality of in-classroom pedagogical practices. One of the elements is the TEACH tool
based classroom observations and ‘Teacher Competency Matrix’ which defines the
academic expected behaviors and practices for teachers. This Teacher Resource Book
is the next step in supporting the teachers to implement contextual strategies
aligned to those practices to help children master learning outcomes as defined in
the curriculum.
I appeal to all the teachers to wholeheartedly adopt these strategies in service of the
students and in the spirit of trying new things with an open mind. You may even
suggest changes so that future editions can be improved further. Feel free to
contextualise them to the diverse needs of the students in your care.

FOREWORD OF AP SCERT DIGITAL LESSON PLANS AND NEW TEACHERS RESOURCE BOOKS 2023-24
The development of well-rounded individuals capable of rational thought and action,
equipped with appropriate knowledge and capacities, and possessing desirable moral
and democratic values, is at the core of the vision of education, as mentioned in the
National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCERT, 2023). The
Department of School Education, under the guidance of the hon’ble Chief Minister
and Education Minister, aspire to take this even further by aiming to create global
citizens with skills and competences to succeed and solve problems at a global level
while still remaining locally aware and rooted, as evidenced by all the reforms and
initiatives undertaken by the Department.
This ‘Teacher Resource Book’ contains all the pedagogical techniques and suggested
plans to bring ease and innovation to the professional life of the teachers in Andhra
Pradesh who strive hard to make the vision and reforms of the Department into
reality, impacting the lives of lakhs of children across the state. It is based on
evidence-based practices organized in an easy to read format, that will surely benefit
the teachers and bring contemporary pedagogical practices and ease some of the
burden of teachers across the state. We welcome the teachers’ feedback and hope
