ANDHRA PRADESH PHYSICAL EDUCATION COMMON ENTRANCE TEST-2022

Instructions

A Common Entrance Test designated as Andhra Pradesh Physical Education Common Entrance Test (APPECET – 2022) will be conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University for the Academic Year 2022-23 for those seeking entry into B.P.Ed.(Two years) and U.G.D.P.Ed. (Two Years) Courses. The Application form is for Common Entrance Test for the entry into the Physical Education courses.

  1. PARTICULARS OF APPECET – 2022 :

    1. Eligible candidates who wish to apply for APPECET-2022 may submit their application through ONLINE mode only.

    2. ONLINE Registration fee (Application processing fee) is Rs. 900/- for OC, Rs.800/- for BC and Rs.700/- for SC & ST candidates.

    3. The candidate should pay the Registration fee (Application processing fee) through A.P. Online / Payment Gateways (Credit card/ Debit card / Net banking) provided in the website i.e, https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in

    4. The last date for submission ONLINE application without late fee 19.07.2022, with late fee of Rs.500/- is 25.07.2022 and with late fee of Rs.1000/- is 31.07.2022.

    5. The test will be conducted at Acharya Nagarjuna University Campus, Nagarjuna Nagar, Guntur only. The date and time of test will be furnished in the hall ticket. The Date and Time of test of all candidates will be displayed in the Website https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in

    6. Candidates can download their hall tickets from the website. Candidate should report at the testing Center half-an hour before the commencement of the Test.

      The test will be held in two parts i.e.

      1. Physical Efficiency Test

      2. Skill Test in Game.

  2. ELIGIBILITY TO APPEAR FOR APPECET – 2022:

    Candidates satisfying the following requirements shall be eligible to appear for APPECET- 2022.

    1. Candidates should be of Indian Nationality.

    2. Candidates should belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh only. The candidates should satisfy local / non-local status requirements as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admission) order, 2174 as subsequently amended.

      Eligibility for B.P.Ed. (Two years): Candidates should have appeared third year degree examination or passed three years degree recognized by any university in A.P. or any other university recognized as equivalent thereto and should have completed 19 years of age on 01.07.2022. However, the candidate has to submit the pass certificate at the time of counseling.

      Eligibility for U.G.D.P.Ed. (Two years) : Candidates should have appeared or passed Intermediate or equivalent course recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh and should have completed 16 years of age on 01.07.2022. However, the candidate has to submit the pass certificate at the time of counseling.

      The in-service Physical Education Teachers (P.E.Ts) seeking admission into B.P.Ed. (Two years) Course or U.G.D.P.Ed. (Two Years) Course need not appear for any Entrance Test conducted by APPECET Convener. They have to apply directly to the Director of School Education, Ibrahimpatnam, Krishna District through proper channel as per the respective D.E.O.s notification.

      Note: Graduates obtained the degree under distance mode from Deemed to be Universities and Private Universities are not eligible unless such programmes have the approval of joint action committee of UGC and Distance Education Council and AICTE.

      NOTE: Candidates who wish to seek admission in state wide institutions

      should note the following.

      “Andhra Pradesh Local candidates

      (Andhra and Rayalaseema

      region)” who wish to procure a seat in a State wide institutions located in State of Telangana area have t o appear in the TSPECET -2022 conducted by Govt. of Telangana.

      Similarly, Telangana local candidates (Telegangana Region) who wish to procure a seat in a state wide institution located in state of Andhra Pradesh have to appear in the APPECET -2022 conducted by A.P. State Council of Higher Education,

      Tadepalli .

      Caution : Candidates with heart ailments or any such serious ailments and differently abled persons should not appear for these tests.

      Pregnant women are also advised not to appear for these tough physical fitness tests. Participation in these tough Physical fitness test may cause injury to the ailing individual and in case of pregnant women to the foetus or to the child in the womb

  3. THE SCHEME OF EXAMINATION FOR THE COMMON ENTRANCE TEST – 2022

    Scheme of Entrance test for B.P.Ed.(Two years) and U.G.D.P.Ed. (Two Years) Courses:

    The Common Entrance Test for entry of students into B.P.Ed. (Two years) and U.G.D.P.Ed. (Two years)

    Courses Comprise of two parts, namely

    1. Physical Efficiency Test and

    2. Skill Test in Game.

      These tests will be conducted as follows :

      1. Physical Efficiency Test : Maximum 400 marks :

        For each of the events, marks shall be awarded, by using the conversion tables approved by the APPECET Committee.

        The Candidate has to choose either High Jump or Long Jump. Candidate has to mention option in the application. Changing of option at the time of test is not permitted.

      2. Skill Test in Game : Maximum 100 Marks :

    The skills of the candidate shall be tested in any one of the following games opted by the candidate:

    1. Ball Badminton

    7. Kabaddi

    2. Basketball

    8. Kho-Kho

    3. Cricket

    9. Shuttle Badminton

    4. Football

    10. Tennis

    5. Handball

    11. Volleyball

    6. Hockey

    Note : If any Candidate fails to choose any one of these games in the application, the candidate will not be allowed to attend the examination in the skill test and he/she looses the chance to appear for 100 marks skill test. If any candidate chooses more than one game, then also, the candidate will not be allowed to the skill test. So, the candidate should fill the application properly by choosing only one game. Changing of option at the time of test is not permitted.

  4. SCRUTINY OF ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES AT THE TIME OF ENTRANCE TEST

    Candidates should produce the following original certificates at the time of entrance test.

    1. Sports Merit Certificates.

    2. Pass Certificate in any one of the following courses: U.G.D.P.Ed / NIS / Yoga / Sports Management

      / Sports Science / Sports Journalism / Olympic Education / Basic Course in Adventure Sport.

    3. N.C.C. Certificate (C-Certificate / B-Certificate)

    4. One set of attested Photostat copies of all the above certificates along with Photostat copy of Hall Ticket.

  5. SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION FOR APPECET-2022

    1. The application should be filled with full and correct particulars and submitted through online MODE only. Instructions for filling the application are given in the next page.

    2. The candidate should pay the Registration fee (Application processing fee) through A.P. Online / e seva / mee seva centres or pay directly through Gateway provided in the website i.e, https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in

    3. Registration fee (Application processing fee) is Rs. 900/- for OC, Rs.800/- for BC and Rs.700/- for SC & ST candidates.

      Note: Candidates are advised to pay the application fees and apply online at the earliest, in order to avoid last minute rush.

    4. The details of the test dates and Hall Tickets will also be displayed in the website

    NOTE: Hall tickets will not be sent to the Candidates. Therefore the Candidate should download the Hall ticket from the following Website: https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in

  6. QUALIFYING MARKS FOR APPECET-2022

    1. The qualifying marks in the APPECET shall be 30% of the aggregate marks allotted for all the test items i.e. Physical Efficiency Test for 400 Marks and Skill Test in games for 100 Marks (Total of 500 Marks excluding incentive marks). There shall be no minimum qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

    2. There is no re-totaling, revaluation or personal identification of response sheets of the Entrance Test.

  7. RESULTS, MERIT LIST AND ASSIGNING RANK FOR APPECET-2022

    1. The candidates who have secured qualifying marks in APPECET 2022 and candidates belonging to the category of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, to whom qualifying marks have not been prescribed, will be assigned the ranking in the order of the merit on the basis of the aggregate marks obtained in all tests put together including incentive marks, if they have any.

    2. For the preparation of merit list, in case of more than one student scoring the same aggregate marks, the tie will be resolved to decide the relative ranking as follows:

      1. The marks scored in Physical efficiency test will be taken into consideration.

      2. In case of further tie, marks scored in Skill Test in games will be taken into consideration

      3. In case of further tie, Date of Birth of the candidate will be considered and the older candidates shall be given priority basing on age.

      4. In case of further tie, common rank will be given. At the time of admission it is resolved based on qualifying examination marks.

  8. RANK CARD

    Rank Card will be placed in the website after the announcement of results. Candidates Should directly download the Rank Cards from the Website.

    NOTE: Rank cards will not be sent to the Candidates. Therefore the Candidate should download the Rank card from the following Website: https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in

  9. DETAILS OF THE PHYSICAL EDUCATION COLLEGES AND FEE PARTICULARS

    The list of Colleges will be placed in the Website before the commencement of admission. The candidates can directly contact the individual colleges to enquire about the facilities available in the colleges, hostel facilities and detailed fee structure. The Candidates are advised to know about the colleges before they exercise their options in the web counseling.

  10. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

    1. The eligible candidates have to attend the counseling in person at their own expenses, if they fail to attend, they will forego the seat.

    2. For Any litigation concerning APPECET-2022, the parties to be impleaded are the Secretary,

      A.P. State Council of Higher Education, Atmakur and Convener, APPECET-2022 and within the jurisdiction of A.P. High Court.

    3. Mere appearance at the entrance test does not automatically entitle a candidate to be considered for admission into physical education courses unless the candidate satisfies the requirement of eligibility as laid down above and other criteria laid down in the rules for admission that shall be issued separately.

    4. If any ambiguity or doubt arises in the interpretation or implementation of any of the rules, the decision of chairperson shall be final.

  11. COUNSELLING AND ALLOTMENT OF SEATS

    Counseling will be conducted through Web based counseling process. The date of counseling will be notified in news papers and website. Individual call letters will not be sent to the

    candidatesHence the candidates should follow the news paper notification for the dates of counseling and list of helpline centers. List of Institutions for allotment of candidates, intake in each course and category in each institution would be announced at the time of counseling. The detailed instruction booklet for web counseling will be placed in the websites.

  12. SCHEME FOR AWARD OF INCENTIVE MARKS : MAXIMUM 100 MARKS

    The candidates possessing the following distinctions and additional qualifications with the certificates issued by the authorities / bodies mentioned shall be entitled to additional incentive marks as mentioned against each category and these marks shall be added to the marks scored in APPECET

    Note :

    1. The Candidates should produce the Original Sports Merit Certificates for scrutiny at the time of Physical Efficiency Test failing which the incentive marks will not be awarded to the candidate. If any certificate is found fake, legal action will be initiated against the candidate.

    2. Only the Games and Sports events which are included in the latest Sports Calendar of the School Games Federation of India / Association of Indian Universities will be considered for awarding incentive marks

    3. Candidate’s merit certificates of highest level of participation / achievement will be considered to place them in any one of the above seven categories. Candidate will not be considered for more than one category for award of Incentive marks.

    4. National level meets include National games, Senior Nationals, Junior Nationals, Sub-Junior Nationals and Mini Nationals.

    ** Special Note: Representing International Means: Participation in Olympic Games, World Championships, World Universities, Afro-Asian Games, Asian Games, Asian Championship for Junior/Seniors, Common Wealth Games, Common Wealth Games Championships, SAF Games, World School Games, Asian School Games, All England Badminton Championship, Davis Cup, Wimbledon, US/French/Australian Open, Asia Pacific Championships In the following Disciplines: 1.   14. DEFINITION OF LOCAL NON-LOCAL STATUS

1. A candidate shall be regarded as a local candidate in relation to a local area (AU / OU / SVU)

    1. If he/she has studied in an Educational Institution or Educational Institutions in such local area for a period of not less than four consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be.

    2. Where, during the whole or any part of the four consecutive academic years in which he/she appeared or first appeared in the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in any educational institution, if he/she resided in that local area for a period of not less than four years immediately preceding the date of commencement of the relevant qualifying examination in which he/she appeared, or first appeared, as the case may be.

2. A candidate who is not regarded as local candidate under clause

    1. Above in relation to any local area shall If he/she studied in the education institutions in the state for a period of not less than seven academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared for the relevant qualifying examination as the case may be, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to

      1. Such local area where he/she studied for the maximum period out of period of seven years. OR

      2. Where the period of his/her study in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she studied last in such equal periods.

    2. If during the whole or any part of the seven consecutive academic years ending with the academic year in which he/she appeared or first appeared for the relevant qualifying examination, he/she has not studied in the educational institutions, in any local area, but has resided in the state during the whole of the said period of seven years, be regarded as a local candidate in relation to

      1. Such local area where he/she has resided for the maximum period out of the said period of seven years.

        OR

      2. Where the period of his/her residence in two or more local areas is equal, such local area where he/she had resided last in such periods.

Note :

AU area includes : Andhra, Acharya Nagarjuna, Krishna, Adikavi Nannaya and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Universities.

OU area includes : Osmania, Kakatiya, Palamur, Mahatma Gandhi, Sathavahana and Telangana Universities in Telangana state.

SVU area includes : Sri Venkateswara, Sri Krishna Devaraya, Yogi Vemana, Vikrama Simhapuri and Rayalaseema Universities.

  1. Candidates coming under any of the categories given below and not satisfying the condition mentioned in 1 or 2 above are treated as ‘Non Local’ to all the three University areas specified above.

    1. Candidates who have resided in the state of A. P. for a total period of 10 years or more excluding the period of study outside this state.

      OR

    2. . Candidates either of whose parents has resided in this state for a total period of 10 years excluding the periods of employment outside the state.

      OR

    3. Candidates either of whose parents is employed in the State of A. P. in the State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.

      OR

    4. Candidates who are spouses of those employed in the State of A. P. in the State or Central Government Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities and other similar quasi Government Institutions within this state, at the time of submitting the application.
