AP Model Schools PGTs Relieving for attending Intermediate Spot Valuation-2022 Instructions issued

2. Requests of Principals to ensure smooth functioning of Schools.
ORDER
In the reference 1st cited instructions were issued to the Principals of AP Model Schools to relieve up to 50% of PGTs for Intermediate spot valuation duties. These instructions were issued at the end of the academic year when students were ready for taking up examinations.
In the reference 2nd cited, Certain Principals working in A.P. Model Schools have brought to the notice of undersigned that the PGTs of AP Model Schools are requesting to relieve them for attending Spot valuation duties. Further, the Principals have expressed their difficulty in smooth functioning of the school since the Academic year has begun a month ago and several vacancies are unfilled in the schools.
Further, it is informed that the sanctioned student strength has increased from 80 to 100(6th to 10th) and 80 to 160 for Intermediate classes and about 600 PGT/TGTs post are vacant in AP Model schools in the state. Meanwhile, Several PGTs have been drafted for Intermediate examinations and spot valuations for regular and spot valuation duties for several days. You are all aware that while Junior Lectures in Junior colleges handle only Intermediate classes, The PGTs of AP Model schools handle intermediate classes and high schools classes. Since the PGTs are away from schools for long duration it is seriously hampering the learning of students in AP Model schools.
After careful examination of the issue, the following instructions are hereby issued to all the RJDSEs/DEOs and Principals of AP Model schools.

Not to relieve those PGTs who were away from school for attending Departmental Officer/ Chief Superintendent /Custodian Duties for conduct of Intermediate Public Examinations.

Not to relieve teachers whose Spot Valuation camp shall exceed more than 6 days.

Not to relieve PGTs who have not yet completed the syllabus prescribed for the month of August.

Not to relieve when sufficient staff are not available for smooth functioning of school.

If thee is only one PGT for a subject in the schools, then he / she shall not be relieved for any outside duties.
All the RJDSEs, DEOs and Principals in A.P Model Schools shall take necessary action on relieving PGTs to spot valuation duties only after ensuring that regular academic activities are not affected.
