- All the Collectors and District Election Officers in the State are informed
that Sri G. Ravindra Babu, State President of Visually Challenged Employees
Association Andhra Pradesh has requested the Election Commission to implement
the exemption of persons with disabilities (PWD) employees from election duties,
adhering to the principles set forth in the Handbook for Returning Officers. - The Collectors and District Election Officers in the State are, informed
that, the Election Commission of India vide their letter No. 464/INST/EPS/2023
(Election Official) dt: 07.06.2023 No. 464/INST/2022/EPS, dt:15.03.2023 and
Para 3.6 of Chapter 3 in Handbook for Returning Officers, 2023 issued the
instructions on following issues:
1, Requisition of Staff in category of PwDs. - Staff to be exempted.
- Randomization of polling staff in PWD category.
- The Collectors and District Election Officers in the state are therefore
requested to take necessary action as per the guidelines issued by the Election
Commission of India.
